SPARTA, Ky. – Friday evening at Kentucky Speedway, Alex Bowman led his Hendrick Motorsports teammates in qualifying.
Bowman, Chase Elliott and William Byron all advanced to the second round of the session.
Saturday night, Bowman will take the green flag in 15th, followed by Elliott in 16th and Byron in 21st.
Jimmie Johnson will roll off the grid in 27th after not advancing past the first round.
Martin Truex Jr. won the pole.
Saturday night’s race is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network, PRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
