CONCORD, N.C. – This week, CBS Sports’ Jim Rome caught up with Chase Elliott in his daily sports radio talk show, “The Jim Rome Show.”
Among a variety of topics, the driver discussed his recent first career Cup Series win at Watkins Glen, his passion for Georgia football, this weekend’s 25th Brickyard 400 and earning his sixth consecutive top-10 finish Sunday at Darlington Raceway, which tied his longest career top-10 streak.
“I feel like we got to Loudon a month or so ago and it seemed like we’ve been a little better than we were throughout the season leading up to that point,” Elliott said. “That’s been encouraging, nice to be able to grab a win and lock into the playoffs and have a shot to go for a championship. Looking forward to these next 10 to 11 weeks.”
