CONCORD, N.C. – In July, it was revealed that the cover art for the highly anticipated 704Games release “NASCAR Heat 3” features all four Hendrick Motorsports drivers.
“I have kids that are just figuring out gaming right now,” Jimmie Johnson said at the time, “and I can’t wait to take the game home.”
Today, he can, as “NASCAR Heat 3” is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in addition to Windows PC via Steam.
The newest entry in the best-selling racing series features a number of new features, including a deeper career mode, additional racetracks, expanded online multiplayer including online tournaments, and a brand-new fantasy dirt-racing experience.
Players can compete across eight new dirt tracks, making a name for themselves on the small-town circuit before moving through the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Cup Series. They can also manage their own race teams as owners.
“I think it’s a lot of fun and it’s an honor to be on the cover with these three guys,” Alex Bowman said. “It’s pretty cool. Hopefully it’ll attract a bunch of new fans.”
“NASCAR Heat 3” is available either digitally or in retail stores for $49.99, and fans who purchase the game at retail will receive a $50 coupon for a race ticket redeemable toward the purchase of any NASCAR-sanctioned event ticket through 2019 at Dover International Speedway, Indianapolis Motor Speedway or any of Speedway Motorsports, Inc.’s eight tracks.
