AVONDALE, Ariz. – Sunday morning at ISM Raceway, Hendrick Motorsports officially selected its eNASCAR Heat Pro League gamers.
The inaugural eNASCAR Heat Pro League Draft took place in Victory Lane at the track, with Hendrick Motorsports holding the eighth pick in the Xbox One draft and seventh pick in the PlayStation 4 draft.
Chase Elliott took to the podium to announce the organization’s first pick – Sam Morris on the Xbox One.
Out of 1,326 races Morris ran during qualifying for the draft, he won 615 times and finished inside of the top three on 1,166 occasions.
The 23-year-old gamer from Dupont, Indiana, had an average finish of 2.1 in those races.
William Byron stepped on stage to announce the organization’s second and final pick – Nick Jobes on the PlayStation 4.
Jobes participated in 589 races during the qualifying period, winning 214 of them.
The 27-year-old from Brick, New Jersey, finished inside the top three in 426 of those races, earning an average finish of 2.85.
Hendrick Motorsports is one of 14 race teams competing in the eNASCAR Heat Pro League, and each race team will field two drivers – one competing on Xbox One and the other on PlayStation 4.
The 16-race season will kick off this spring, with all events live streamed on NASCAR.com and Motorsport.com.
