CONCORD, N.C. – Saturday evening, teams will compete at Kansas Speedway in hopes of finding Victory Lane under the lights. Historically, Hendrick Motorsports sits atop the leaderboard with many records at the track.

Here are some insights to keep in mind as the race weekend gets underway.

  • At Kansas, Hendrick Motorsports has amassed seven wins, five pole positions, 31 top-five finishes and 55 top-10 finishes, all of which lead NASCAR Cup Series teams all-time at the track. The organization’s average finish of 13.51 at the track is the best all-time, and Kansas is one of 14 active tracks where the organization owns or is tied for the most wins all-time.
  • Last October at Kansas, Chase Elliott captured his third victory of the 2018 season after leading the final 44 laps of the race. His average running position during the event was 6.6. Since the driver’s first win in 2018 at Watkins Glen International, he is the only Chevrolet driver to have won a race. The Dawsonville, Georgia, native has collected four wins, nine top-five finishes and 581 laps led in the last 26 races.
  • With momentum on his side after a strong run last week at Dover International Speedway, William Byron is hoping that success carries over for Saturday night’s race. He has a win under his belt at Kansas, finding Victory Lane at the venue in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2016, his first of seven wins that season.
  • Jimmie Johnson owns the second-best driver rating of all active drivers at Kansas with a score of 104.1. He has an average finish of 9.7 at the track and his three wins there are tied for the most all-time.
  • Coming off two straight career-best second-place finishes at Talladega Superspeedway and Dover International Speedway, Alex Bowman will make his eighth start at Kansas in the Cup Series this weekend. It is one of four tracks where Bowman has earned multiple top-10 finishes. His first career Cup Series top-10 came at Kansas in 2016, and he took the checkered flag ninth the last time teams raced at the track.
