Joliet, Ill. – Saturday evening’s qualifying session saw Jimmie Johnson lead the way for Hendrick Motorsports at Chicagoland Speedway.

Johnson qualified in fourth, with Alex Bowman joining him inside the top 10 in eighth.

Chase Elliott qualified 13th for Sunday afternoon’s race.

William Byron qualified just outside the top 10 in 11th, but due to an engine change will start Sunday’s race from the rear of the field. The No. 24 team elected to change engines after discovering an oil leak prior to the start of qualifying.

Austin Dillon captured the pole.

The Chicagoland race is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN this Sunday.
