CONCORD, N.C. – Last summer, Microsoft and Hendrick Motorsports renewed their relationship, making Microsoft the Official Cloud Partner of Hendrick Motorsports.
Hendrick Motorsports utilizes plenty of Microsoft technologies to strengthen on-track performance and improve collaboration away from the track.
“The lengths we go to, to have a tenth-of-a-second advantage is mind-blowing,” said seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson. “The right data getting to the right people is everything.”
With so much data coming back to the teams throughout a race weekend, Microsoft has helped Hendrick Motorsports utilize it quickly with a lap analyzer tool.
It allows the organization to look at speed, RPMs, steering, throttle, braking and much more in real-time.
“It’s producing a more efficient lap and a faster lap time for me,” Johnson said. “That can advance you on the track and put you in a race-winning position.”
