CONCORD, N.C. – It’s official. For the third year in a row, Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation has sold all 10,000 tickets for “Corvette for a Cure.” The organization has now met its $1 million goal for childhood cancer research during the 2019 fundraiser.
This year the lucky winner of Jeff Gordon’s personal Corvette will be chosen Aug. 2 and receive a phone call from Gordon himself to deliver the news. The four-time NASCAR champion has also personally donated $15,000 toward the fundraising efforts.
The Corvette program has raised nearly $9 million for pediatric cancer research and helped open the Jeff Gordon Children’s Center in Concord, North Carolina, and the Butaro Cancer Center of Excellence in Rwanda.
Following three straight years of reaching $1 million for each of the sold-out fundraisers, the organization has already opened up the email list for updates on the 2020 giveaway.
