CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wednesday evening when the eNASCAR Heat Pro League raced at Kansas Speedway, Hendrick Motorsports Gaming Club’s Sam Morris sat in the driver’s seat at NASCAR productions in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina.
Between the pre-race show, the races and post-race interviews, the Xbox One driver was excited to showcase all his hard work throughout the inaugural Heat Pro League season.
“It was a blast,” Morris said. “It was definitely nice getting to talk to the people in-person I’ve been talking to for months.”
After arriving at the studio, Morris took to the Xbox One console to complete the setup of his No. 25 Chevrolet for the race on “NASCAR Heat 4” and participate in the pre-race drivers meeting.
“The setup was great, and we had a good time racing and doing all the interviews,” Morris said. “I’m so thankful to NASCAR for letting me come by. It’s been a really neat experience.”
Normally during the Wednesday evening races, Morris competes from his home in Jennings Country, Indiana. He enjoyed the change in atmosphere this time around.
“I actually feel less stressed in a busier environment,” the driver said. “This was actually the least stressed during a race that I’ve ever been.”
Looking ahead to the home stretch of the season, Morris is excited to take on the final two events and finish out the season strong.
“These next two races are very tricky and interesting tracks in the new game,” he said. “Homestead-Miami and the wild card should make for some great races to finish out the year.”
