CONCORD, N.C. – Only the championship race remains in the inaugural eNASCAR Heat Pro League season and both Hendrick Motorsports Gaming Club drivers will round out their season with the Wild Card race on Oct. 23.
Despite not qualifying for the championship, gamers Sam Morris and Nick Jobes look back on their season after taking home two top-five finishes in Wednesday night’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
“The season has been a lot of fun and it’s been very positive but difficult at the same time,” No. 5 driver Morris said. “Nick (Jobes) and I have had a solid season, but a lot of bad luck. Jobes has run really well and consistent, and I’ve run well despite the issues we’ve had with acceleration in my car, and not being able to fully overcome that.”
“It’s been an incredible season,” Jobes said. “To start, I was one of the fresher faces in the league in terms of experience. It was really a learning experience from the start of the season. I’ve been able to grow and produce solid finishes throughout the season, and still looking to grow from where we are now.”
Announced earlier this week, ISM Raceway will be the host of the championship race where NASCAR will host all the eNASCAR drivers at their studio in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina.
Be sure to tune into the live event on eNASCAR.com, Twitch and Facebook with coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
