CONCORD, N.C. – Homestead-Miami Speedway may have been the last race on the 2019 Cup Series schedule, but the final NASCAR event of the year takes place this week.
NASCAR is taking over Nashville, Tennessee with its Champion’s Week festivities, which kicks off today.
Each of the 16 NASCAR Cup Series playoff drivers, including Chase Elliott, William Byron and Alex Bowman, will be in the “Music City” for the annual three-day event, which culminates with the season-ending banquet on Thursday.
Here’s what fans can expect this week:
Tuesday, Dec. 3
Champion’s Week Fan Fest
Located at the Riverfront Park in Downtown Nashville, fans will have the chance to see all 16 playoff race cars along with autograph sessions, giveaways and more. The Fan Fest will take place Dec. 3 – 4 from 12 - 8 p.m. CT and on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 12 - 4 p.m.
NASCAR Night at the Opry
Located at Ryman Auditorium, the show will be filled with a NASCAR twist along with performances by some of country favorites like Rascal Flatts and Chris Janson. Fans can purchase tickets here.
Wednesday, Dec. 4
Champion’s Week Fan Fest continues
Elliott will be signing autographs for fans at the Fan Fest in Riverfront Park. The driver will be at the autograph tables from 1:30-2:30 p.m. CT.
Burnouts on Broadway
On Lower Broadway, between Fifth and First Avenue, the 16 Cup Series playoff drivers will be doing burnouts for fans to watch from the streets of Nashville. The burnouts will air on NBCSN and the NBC Sports app at 11:30 p.m. ET and again on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. ET.
Thursday, Dec. 5
Elliott at Hooters
No. 9 Hooters Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE driver Elliott will stop by the downtown Nashville Hooters location at 184 2nd Ave. N, Nashville, Tennessee, 37201 from 1-3 p.m. CT to meet fans. It is open to the public, and wristbands will be handed out to the first 150 people starting at 12 p.m. CT.
Champion’s Week Fan Fest continues
William Byron and Alex Bowman will sign autographs for fans from 1:30-2:30 p.m. CT. The session will be located in the Riverfront Park downtown. The Champion’s Week Fan Fest will conclude at 4 p.m. CT.
NASCAR Cup Series Awards Red Carpet
When the drivers hit the red carpet, so can the fans. This year, fans can watch red-carpet arrivals in person at the Music City Center. Click here for more information.
The exclusive, black-tie awards ceremony will air live on MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 6 p.m. CT. The annual celebration will air live on MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 7 p.m. ET. NBC Sports Network will begin coverage at 8 p.m. ET.
