CONCORD, N.C. – It may come as no surprise, but the 2019 Most Popular Driver also had the most popular die-cast.
Chase Elliott topped Lionel Racing’s annual list of best-selling die-casts for 2019, and in fact that driver of the No. 9 Chevrolet dominated the top 10, claiming six spots.
His NAPA AUTO PARTS paint scheme was the No. 1 best-seller, with his Mountain Dew/Little Caesars winning ride from Talladega Superspeedway coming in third. His Hooters scheme was fifth, followed by his winning NAPA car from the Charlotte “roval,” his winning NAPA car from a Watkins Glen victory and his Mountain Dew Chevy in seventh, eighth and ninth, respectively.
Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson had the No. 4 die-cast of the year with his No. 48 Ally Chevrolet.
As for the top 10 raced win die-casts of 2019, Elliott once again claimed the top spot with his Talladega ride. His cars from his “roval” and Watkins Glen wins were Nos. 2 and 3.
Alex Bowman’s No. 88 Axalta Chevrolet from his Chicagoland victory was the fifth-highest-selling die-cast on the raced win list.
