CONCORD, N.C. – Ally Financial’s partnership with Jimmie Johnson and the No. 48 team has already been a meaningful one.
The leading digital financial services company made that clear when it extended its full-season primary sponsorship of Hendrick Motorsports and the No. 48 team through the 2023 season less than one year after it first raced into NASCAR.
But the power of the relationship was never more on display than Friday evening, when Ally announced a donation of $48,000 to the Jimmie Johnson Foundation with a special video.
Johnson reacted to the donation in the video, thanking Ally for the impact it will provide.
“The good that we will do with that money, I can’t even begin to describe it,” Johnson said. “It means the world to me. Clearly, I represent you on the racetrack, and I’m so thankful for that partnership, but the things that you do off the track and the causes that you support that I’m involved with really means a lot. So, thank you all so much and we can’t wait to put that money to work.”
