CONCORD, N.C. -- The Fontana, California race will show off a couple of different paint schemes within the Hendrick Motorsports ranks.
William Byron and his No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE will sport a one-time purple and gold scheme to honor NBA legend Kobe Bryant, who, along with eight others, lost his life in a helicopter accident.
Bryant, a five-time NBA champion and 18-time all-star, wore No. 24 with the Los Angeles Lakers in the latter part of his career.
Another different scheme will be with the No. 88 team, when Alex Bowman rolls off the grid with a dark red and black Cincinnati Inc scheme.
Fans will be able to take a live look at the schemes for all four Hendrick Motorsports drivers on Saturday during their qualifying session for the Southern California race. The qualifier will start at 2:30 p.m. ET and will air on FOX Sports 1 and MRN Radio.
The second leg of the West Coast swing at Auto Club Speedway will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX and can be heard on MRN Radio.
