CONCORD, N.C. -- Valvoline unveiled a fresh paint scheme Wednesday, which will be featured on Alex Bowman’s No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE this Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway.
The scheme that will adorn the No. 88 machine Sunday is a revamped twist of Valvoline’s classic logo to celebrate its storied history as the first motor oil trademarked in the U.S.
Last year’s paint scheme honored Buddy Baker and Mark Martin’s iconic Valvoline looks from when they were on the Cup Series circuit, which was extremely popular with fans. With Valvoline launching its Original Motor Oil campaign, the company wanted to honor its classic look from the 1960s and 1970s with updated features.
Valvoline stated that the new look pays homage to the company’s iconic status as a top American oil brand but still has a modern and sleek 21st-century look.
