CONCORD, N.C. -- Hendrick Motorsports Gaming Club took on Eldora Speedway Wednesday night, which saw Sam Morris finish inside the top 10 with a ninth-place result on the Xbox One.
The 90-lap event was gritty as the virtual trucks tumbled around the dirt track in the ninth race of the eNASCAR Heat Pro League Series.
Teammate Nick Jobes finished in 14th on PlayStation 4.
Morris rolled off the virtual grid in 12th place. He moved up to 11th less than a lap in and was up to ninth seven laps later.
On the 24th lap he tried to cross over another driver but wasn’t able to do so. Morris then fell to 10th, where he remained when a caution came out on lap 36.
With 40 laps to go, Morris was back in ninth. He rode in that position until the Xbox One server started having issues. Because of these problems, the race was called and Morris finished in ninth place.
Jobes started in 14th place. He quickly moved up to 13th within the first lap.
Jobes was steady in 13th but was unable to move up throughout the entire race. He fell back to 14th 60 laps into the race and remained there until the end.
