CONCORD, N.C. -- Alex Bowman will be on the front row for the third All-Star Race in his Cup Series career.
The driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE will start in the outside pole position for Wednesday's main event. Chase Elliott will start in 13th and teammate Jimmie Johnson will be right beside him in 14th.
William Byron will start in seventh place for the Open, which will take place right before the All-Star Race. Should he win Segment 1 of the event, he will start in 17th during the All-Star Race. If Byron wins either Segments 2 or 3, he will start in 18th or 19th, respectively. By winning the fan vote, Byron will roll off the grid in 20th.
The starting lineup was set through a random drawing based on the drivers' current Cup Series standings and wins that include all 17 completed races so far this season.
Martin Truex Jr. secured the pole position.
The All-Star events will begin on Wednesday with the Open at 7 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. The All-Star Race will follow at 8:30 p.m. ET.
