CONCORD, N.C. -- It was an exciting night race for Hendrick Motorsports Gaming Club driver Nick Jobes as he finished third after starting in the back of the pack.
Jobes was able to capitalize on an incident late in the race that propelled him into the top five during the the PlayStation 4 race.
Teammate and Xbox One driver Sam Morris finished his night in 12th after being caught in an accident early in the race.
Jobes spent most of the race in the back, bouncing around between 11th and 13th.When an accident with 28 laps to go occurred, Jobes restarted in 12th and moved swiftly into the top 10.
A second incident sent the drivers under another caution, where Jobes would restart in ninth. As the laps dwindled away, the field became more aggressive tried to make moves into the lead.
A final caution came out with two to go and Jobes restarted in eighth. Jobes did not spend much time bunched up with the pack and quickly moved into second.
He would end his final lap at Las Vegas sitting in third.
Morris was caught in an accident early in the race that made it difficult for him to recover. Pitting under caution in the second lap, Morris restarted in the back of the field.
He chipped away at a few spots but bounced around in the back of the pack, ultimately finishing in 12th.
