CONCORD, N.C. -- Ally has given NASCAR fans the chance to be the driver of the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE in its new 8-bit arcade-style racing game that can be played online.
The game is based around Jimmie Johnson and his Ally Chevy, where players must beat the clock and other race cars on the track. The goal is to collect plum-colored dollar bills and other Ally Financial tokens to rack up as many points as possible.
However, players need to be careful as they dodge on-track debris like flat tires, oil slicks and the lap traffic to secure a new high score on the Ally leader board.
The game has no limit to how many times players can play and how many points they can bank for later use. In at the end, players can withdraw the rewards and boost their score as they move on to harder levels.
"Nothing can replace the live action sights and sounds of a Cup Series race, but we wanted to create a fun way to stoke competition and engage fans, recognizing people are turning to their mobile devices to stay connected and entertained," said Andrea Brimmer, chief marketing and public relations officer for Ally.
"We encourage fans to post their high scores on social media to fuel some friendly competition and connect with each other. We know there are a lot of die-hard NASCAR and Jimmie Johnson fans who wish they could cheer for Jimmie in person this season."
Players can drive the virtual race car at several different digital tracks: Daytona Beach, The Monster, Allywood and Queen City Circuit
