CONCORD, N.C. -- Alex Bowman will be sporting a crisp “Original Motor Oil” look when he hits the Charlotte road course on Oct. 11.
A refreshed Valvoline scheme will adorn the No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for the final race in the Round of 12. The look brings fans back to the iconic Valvoline look from the 1960s and 1970s as a reflection of their status as an American brand.
As the first American motor oil brand, Valvoline still is American owned and operated, and the scheme for the playoff race at the Charlotte road course reflects its rich history. It also honors Buddy Baker and Mark Martin's iconic Valvoline schemes, as well as the throwback scheme Dale Earnhardt Jr. sported at Darlington Raceway in 2015.
Fans can see Bowman and the No. 88 Valvoline Chevrolet in action on Sunday, Oct. 11 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway roval. The race will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC. For more angles of the No. 88 Valvoline machine, take a look below.
