CONCORD, N.C. -- Jimmie Johnson's Hendrick Motorsports teammates all will have special adjustments to their paint schemes for Sunday's Championship 4 race at Phoenix Raceway.
Chase Elliott, William Byron and Alex Bowman all will have yellow numbers adorning their Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LEs for Johnson's final race as a full-time Cup Series driver. The yellow numbers pays tribute to the seven-time Cup Series champion, who always has sported a yellow No. 48 on his Chevy.
Johnson has spent 19 years competing in the highest level of racing, winning seven championships and 83 points-paying races. The 45-year-old driver's seven titles are tied for most in the Cup Series with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt.
