CONCORD, N.C. -- Chase Elliott earned a second championship in three months during Daytona Speedweeks, although it wasn't for racing.
The current NASCAR Cup Series title holder was presented with his own WWE Championship on Thursday at Daytona International Speedway by WWE Superstars Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, also known as the Street Profits.
The championship has customized side plates for Elliott that are emblazoned with his name and include his Cup Series title and allowed the champions from the ring and from the track to meet.
The Street Profits became the second Triple Crown Tag Team Champions in the history after they earned the WWE NXT Tag Team Title, the RAW Tag Team Title and the SmackDown Tag Team Title. Their winning ways go back to 2018, when they won their first title together at the Evolve Tag Team Championship.
The full presentation can be seen Thursday night during the Duel Races on FS1 or on Friday night during WWE Smackdown Live, which will air at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
Elliott will begin his campaign to win a second consecutive championship this Sunday at the DAYTONA 500. The race will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET and be broadcast of FOX.
