CONCORD, N.C. -- William Byron will start on the front row for Sunday's race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
After his crushing win at Homestead-Miami last week, Byron will start second on the outside pole for the second 1.5-mile race of the season. Teammate Kyle Larson will be right behind Byron with a third-place start.
Chase Elliott will roll off the grid eighth and Alex Bowman will be one position behind in ninth place, putting all four Hendrick Motorsports drivers with a starting position inside the top 10.
The starting lineup was set based on the metrics formula from last season. It applies the data from the driver's finishing position of the last race (25%), the car owner's finishing position from the last race (25%), team owner points ranking (35%) and the fastest lap from the previous race.
Kevin Harvick will be next to Byron on the pole.
