CONCORD, N.C. -- The Hendrick Motorsports drivers are strapping back into their simulation rigs on Wednesday as the second eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series race of the season heads to virtual Talladega Superspeedway for a 70-lap event.
William Byron, a four-time eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series winner, will take to the virtual track with a lot of momentum. He already has a win under his belt this season after he took the checkered flag at the virtual dirt track at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Alex Bowman also is suiting up for the virtual event and will try to win Talladega, where he secured his first eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series win at last year. Bowman will bring back his Best Friends scheme with Ally for the iRacing event.
Kyle Larson will continue to represent his charitable organization, the Kyle Larson Foundation, by representing nonprofits important to him on his No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE. Reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott will be on hand, as well, to try and earn his first iRacing win.
The eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series came to life at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 after the NASCAR Cup Series season was halted for safety measures. The series ran for seven races last season, and Hendrick Motorsports drivers took home four wins out of those seven events.
Be sure to tune in to FS1 on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET to see the Hendrick Motorsports drivers take on virtual Talladega.
