CONCORD, N.C. – The Hendrick Motorsports drivers will settle back into their racing simulators for event No. 3 of the eNASCAR Pro Invitational Series at virtual Darlington Raceway for a 120-lap race.
William Byron is focused on taking home another checkered-flag finish this season in his throwback scheme for the live Darlington race, piloting the Valvoline colors to honor Neil Bonnett. The driver of the virtual No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro already has four wins under his belt in the Pro Invitational Series from 2020-2021 and has led 445 of the 1,058 laps he has completed in his iRacing rig.
Alex Bowman will try to maintain his momentum after finishing fifth at virtual Talladega Superspeedway on April 21. Bowman will sport his throwback scheme honoring crew chief Greg Ives, which will debut at the real Darlington this Sunday.
Kyle Larson will don his throwback look, as well, paying homage to his first race car. Reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott will be on hand, as well, to try and earn his first iRacing win. He also will bring his throwback Chevy Camaro to the virtual track honoring Alan Kulwicki, who won the NASCAR Cup Series title in 1992.
The eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series came to life at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 after the NASCAR Cup Series season was halted for safety measures. The series ran for seven races last season, and Hendrick Motorsports drivers took home four wins out of those seven events.
Be sure to tune in to FS1 on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET to see the Hendrick Motorsports drivers take on virtual Darlington.
