CONCORD, N.C. -- Before Hendrick Motorsports head to Austin, Texas, to take on Circuit of The Americas (COTA), the four drivers will try their hands at the virtual course through the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series event at the venue this Wednesday.
William Byron already has a win under his belt from this year's event at the Bristol Dirt race and would like to be the first-time Pro Invitational Series winner at COTA, as well.
Chase Elliott and Alex Bowman each have a top-five finish already this year after three iRacing events. Kyle Larson will run his Kyle Larson Foundation scheme, which will feature partners supporting his "Drive for 5" initiative.
The eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series came to life at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 after the NASCAR Cup Series season was halted for safety measures. The series ran for seven races last season, and Hendrick Motorsports drivers took home four wins out of those seven events.
