CONCORD, N.C. -- William Byron finished third after running in the position for the majority of Wednesday night's eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series event at Circuit of The Americas ahead of Sunday's live race at the road course.
Byron, who already won the dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway this season, ran comfortably in the position in his No. 24 Liberty University Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE.
Teammate Kyle Larson posted an 11th-place finish after he dropped back to 34th early in the race. Alex Bowman finished 23rd and Chase Elliott, who was in an accident at the very beginning of the race, placed 39th.
James Davison won the race.

KYLE LARSON, NO. 5 HENRDRICKCARS.COM THROWBACK CAMARO ZL1 1LE
FINISHED: 11th
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Larson started the race next to teammate William Byron in sixth but fell quickly to 34th. He started moving back up the leaderboard and was 27th four laps into the race and broke into the top 20 four laps later.
- Larson was riding in 15th by lap 12. With 11 laps left in the race, he was up to 12th. Larson edged one more spot to 11th with less than 10 laps to go, placing in that spot.
CHASE ELLIOTT, NO. 9 LLUMAR CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1 1LE
FINISHED: 39th
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elliott rolled off the virtual grid 28th and tumbled to 39th by the second lap after an accident. He was finished for the night and placed 39th.
WILLIAM BYRON, NO. 24 LIBERTY UNIVERSITY CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1 1LE
FINISHED: 3rd
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Byron hit the track next to Kyle Larson in fifth and was up to third by the second lap. He started moving back up the leaderboard and was 27th four laps in.
- Byron was still in third when the field pitted but the leader continued to extend his lead. He started to close the gap with 11 laps to go but remained in third, finishing in that position.
ALEX BOWMAN, NO. 48 ALLY THROWBACK CHEVROLET CAMARO ZL1 1LE
FINISHED: 23rd
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bowman began the race in 16th place started to creep up the leaderboard, running 14th by the fourth lap. On the seventh lap Bowman spun out a little bit, dropping him back to 21st.
- By lap 10 Bowman was in 22nd and jumped to 17th by lap 12. He pitted three laps later for a fast repair, tires and fuel. He came back out to the track in 18th place.
- Bowman fell to 29th with 15 laps to go but pushed up to 26th five laps later. He continued to edge past competitors as the race wound down, finishing 23rd.
