CONCORD, N.C. -- Chase Elliott will lead the Hendrick Motorsports drivers to the green flag in Sunday’s event at Pocono Raceway for the second part of the doubleheader weekend.
The top-20 finishers had their positions inverted and the drivers who finished below 20th had their Sunday starting positions set through the metrics formula for Sunday’s race at “The Tricky Triangle.”
Elliott will roll off the grid in ninth after finishing 12th in Saturday’s event. Teammate Kyle Larson is scored 12th in the lineup but will drop to the rear of the field due to moving to a backup car.
William Byron takes to the 2.5-mile triangle track in 18th and Saturday's race winner Alex Bowman will start 20th.
