CONCORD, N.C.  Hendrick Motorsports and the NASCAR Cup Series will race under the lights for the annual night race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday. This race carries extra importance since it's the cutoff race for the Round of 16, which will see four drivers eliminated from the playoffs following the 500-lap event.

The Rick Hendrick-owned organization has 12 points-paying wins at the 0.533-mile track on the border of Virginia and Tennessee. Kyle Larson is the team's only active driver with a points win (2021) at Bristol. Chase Elliott did win the exhibition All-Star Race held there in 2020.

Larson will sport the Valvoline paint scheme on the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for the third and final time this season. Bristol has been one of his best tracks in recent years. Larson has one win, four top-five finishes, seven top-10s and led 760 laps in his last eight starts in Thunder Valley. The 31-year-old driver is already locked into the Round of 12 by virtue of his win at Darlington Raceway.

Elliott will have a special black and gold look for NAPA Gold Filters on the No. 9 Chevy. The 27-year-old driver has three top-five finishes and four top-10s in his last five late summer starts at Bristol, including his track-best finish of second in 2022. The No. 9 team is plus-12 to the elimination line to advance to the Round of 12 for the owner championship.

William Byron will debut the No. 24 Relay Payments Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the Round of 16 finale. This is the first of two primary races for the fintech company. In his last two starts at Bristol, Byron and crew chief Rudy Fugle have earned a pair of third-place finishes. The 25-year-old driver is plus-41 to the elimination line and looking to advance to the Round of 12 for the third straight season
