LAS VEGAS – With a stage win in the opening stage of Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Hendrick Motorsports earned its 100th stage win.
Kyle Larson picked up the stage win for his first of the season. Larson led 31 laps in the 80-lap segment to pick up a playoff point and the 100th stage win for the organization. He went on to win stage two to make that 101 stage wins for the Rick Hendrick-owned team and eventually got the race victory too.

Las Vegas has been Hendrick Motorsports’ best track for stage wins with 12. Over the last nine races at Las Vegas (dating back to 2020), Hendrick Motorsports has earned 12 of the 18 stage wins. Larson has six, Chase Elliott picked up three, William Byron tallied two and Alex Bowman earned one.
The Cup Series adopted the stage racing format ahead of the 2017 season with the bulk of events consisting of three stages. The Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway is the exception because it has four stages of 100 laps each. A stage win earns the driver a playoff point.
