CONCORD, N.C. – NASCAR will hold its first-ever in-season tournament for the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025, with the winner taking home a $1,000,000 prize.
The seeding for the bracket-style, head-to-head event will be set by the results from the final three races, which will air during Prime Video’s portion of the schedule. TNT Sports will televise all five races in the in-season tournament.
All drivers will be eligible for the seeding races. The bracket seeding will be set by the best finish in each race over the final three races on Prime Video. Tiebreakers will be determined by the next-best finish, followed by the season points position.
During the five-race in-season tournament on TNT Sports, drivers will compete head-to-head, with the highest-finishing driver of each race advancing over the five rounds. The tournament field will go from 32 drivers in the opening race to 16 drivers in the second race, eight drivers in the third race, four drivers in the fourth race and two drivers battling for the in-season tournament win in the fifth and final race.
