2025 NASCAR Clash: Career stats for Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, William Byron and Alex Bowman

CONCORD, N.C. - The NASCAR Clash, stock car racing's preseason exhibition kickoff race, will be contested at a fourth different track since 2020 this year. 

This time around, Bowman Gray Stadium, a quarter-mile oval in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, will be the host as the Cup Series hits the race track for the first time in 2025. 

The event began in 1979 and through the year 2020, was held at Daytona International Speedway as part of Speedweeks. In 2021, the Clash moved to the Daytona Road Course before heading cross country the following year as the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum became the event's home. 

That run lasted three years before a move back to the heart of racing country this season and an inaugural voyage at Bowman Gray. The complex hosted NASCAR Cup Series races from 1958 through 1971. 

Hendrick Motorsports has claimed seven victories in the Clash, third all time among NASCAR organizations. That includes two wins apiece from Ken Schrader, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson and a single victory for Dale Earnhardt Jr.

As for the company's current roster of drivers, each has been close over the years but are still looking for their first victory. 

In terms of the three-year stint at the LA Coliseum, no one ran more laps in the top 10 than William Byron (451) and his 231 circuits in the top five are third best. Kyle Larson, meanwhile, finished in the top five in each of the three events. 

Over the course of their careers, Alex Bowman's average finish of 6.7 is best while Chase Elliott may have had the closest call of all, finishing second at the Daytona Road Course in 2021.
