CONCORD, N.C. – Jimmie Johnson will pilot a special scheme for Sunday’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Seven-time Cup Series champion Johnson and NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon met with Danny Koker, who hosts “Counting Cars” and owns Count's Kustoms, to collaborate on a unique paint scheme for the playoff race in “Sin City.”

Koker said the look has a “the 70’s cool-guy van” vibe with a lot of layers and bold colors. Johnson and Koker worked through the scheme together by combining their ideas and hammering out the details of what they envisioned.

“This has been such an amazing honor for myself, for my whole team here at Count’s Kustoms,” Koker said. “Everyone here has been so excited and so stoked to work on this car.”

Koker, who is based in Las Vegas, worked with Johnson virtually to bring the scheme to life. Koker presented Johnson several different versions of the scheme, and Johnson selected the one he liked the most. The process was captured in a four-part miniseries that can be viewed at AllyRacing.com.

To see Johnson and Koker’s scheme in action, tune into the race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. To see Johnson’s fresh scheme from all angles, take a look below.
