CONCORD. NC. – It’s National Engineers Week and Hendrick Motorsports is celebrating the engineers that make valuable contributions to the design and performance of its race cars.
Meet Jessica Hook, a design engineer who uses CAD software to design parts that are used to build our fleet of Chevrolet Camaros.
A native of Wichita, Kansas, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Hook turned her passion for racing into a career when she worked for an IMSA sports car team for six years before joining Hendrick Motorsports.
“The most rewarding (part of my job) is when I’m able to design something that gets put into the car and everything works the first time,” Hook said.
Stay tuned this week as Hendrick Motorsports introduces more engineers who play critical roles across the organization.
