CONCORD, N.C. -- In this week's episode of Game Day to Race Day, get to know Allen Stallings, a tire carrier for the No. 48 team at Hendrick Motorsports, as he talks about how his career playing football at Greensboro College helped him become a championship-caliber pit crew member.

"After I did my first live four-tire stop is when I became really addicted to the adrenaline rush," Stallings said. "I think jumping out in front of a car just felt fun and that's something that correlated with football - you did it because it was fun."

Stallings was a Swiss Army knife at Greensboro, playing quarterback in his freshman and sophomore year before moving to the opposite side of the ball as a defensive back in his junior and senior year. He explained how his time at a small Division III school and his competitive nature helped him work hard to prove many wrong as he transitioned to becoming the tire carrier for the No. 48 team.

Check out the video above to hear how Stallings went from throwing touchdowns and making tackles in football to leaping over the wall with Hendrick Motorsports. He and the No. 48 team will be in action on Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. ET on NBC at Talladega Superspeedway in the Round of 12 of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
