CONCORD, N.C. – Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson will release a collection of photographs celebrating his extraordinary career in September 2022.
"One More Lap: Jimmie Johnson and the #48" is a visual biography featuring behind-the-scenes moments at the track, racing snapshots, photographs taken by the 83-time Cup Series winner himself and photos of his days as a youth pulled from family albums.
The book was done with Ivan Shaw, who produces art photography books. Pro basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan wrote the foreward to the book.
Johnson drove the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet to historic levels for 20 years from 2001 to 2020. His seven championships (2006-10, 2013 and 2016) are tied with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt for the most in the sport’s top level. His 83 Cup wins are tied for sixth all-time with Cale Yarborough. Presently, Johnson is running in the NTT IndyCar Series.
The 272-page hard cover book, which features 175 photographs and is produced by Rizzoli International Publications Inc., will retail for $48.
