CONCORD, N.C. -- Thursday afternoon on the Hendrick Motorsports campus, Jeff Gordon was in a celebratory mood.

After all, just four days earlier he had found Victory Lane at Martinsville Speedway -- his first win of his final full-time season, which secured his spot as a finalist racing for a championship at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

"Martinsville was incredible," Gordon said. "I can't think of a time in my career and with this team when timing meant so much. This win was so crucial."

On Thursday, he toured the Victory Bell around campus to commemorate the occasion with his teammates.

"Today," he said, "we get to keep celebrating."
