CONCORD, N.C. -- Monday afternoon, NASCAR announced the 25 drivers eligible for the season-opening, 75-lap Sprint Unlimited at Daytona International Speedway.

Among them are Hendrick Motorsports teammates Kasey Kahne, Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. After running his final full-time season in 2015, Jeff Gordon will help call the race from the broadcast booth on Saturday, Feb. 13.

Rookie Chase Elliott does not meet the eligibility requirements for the race -- 2015 pole winners, former Sprint Unlimited winners and former Daytona 500 pole winners in addition to all 16 drivers from the 2015 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

Any remaining open positions are filled based on 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship driver points.

This year's event will be broadcast live on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM, and any fans missing Gordon on the racetrack will be happy to get the chance to see his debut as a race analyst for FOX.

The non-points race is split into two segments, with a competition caution at Lap 25. Another fun addition to the proceedings will be select fans paired with crew chiefs for a random drawing to determine starting position and pit road positions.

The drawings will take place on Friday, Feb. 12, at 3:30 p.m. ET.
