CONCORD, N.C. -- NBC Sports Network and NASCAR Productions are taking race fans back in time this Sunday following the race at Martinsville Speedway.
Immediately following the conclusion of Sunday's 500-lap NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, NBCSN will air a new 60-minute documentary that relives many chapters of the 2001 Cup season.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. contributed to the documentary, sharing many memories from that year.
Earnhardt is also joined on film by teammate Jeff Gordon, fellow drivers Dale Jarrett, Jeff Burton, Kyle Petty, Tony Stewart and Elliott Sadler, as well as former NBC Sports Chairman Dick Ebersol and longtime NASCAR senior executive Mike Helton.
