CONCORD, N.C. – The No. 5 Great Clips Throwback Chevrolet will hit the track at Darlington this weekend with a bit of a brighter look.
Instead of the familiar black, red, green and white colors, Kasey Kahne will pilot a retro scheme inspired by the first ever Hendrick Motorsports driver, Geoff Bodine. The look is similar to the No. 5 Levi Garrett car driven by Bodine in 1985.
“As soon as I saw it I thought that it would be a great one to have,” Kahne said. “(No. 5 team crew chief) Keith (Rodden) was the same way.”
