CONCORD, N.C. -- Due to the continued threat of inclement weather in the area, the start time for Sunday's Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway has been moved up.

The race is now scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET.

Persistent rainfall at the track caused the cancellation of both NASCAR Cup Series practices on Saturday. However, qualifying went off without a hitch Friday evening, and Chase Elliott will lead his teammates to the green flag when the race begins Sunday.

Elliott qualified seventh, with Kasey Kahne joining him in the top 10 with a ninth-place starting spot.

Dale Earnahrdt Jr. will roll off the grid 23rd, followed by Jimmie Johnson in 25th.

Sunday's Bank of America 500 will be broadcast on NBC, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
