CONCORD, N.C. -- Thursday evening, Nationwide premiered its brand-new video series, “Alex Bowman: Racing to Win.”
Episode one, titled “88: The Past and the Future,” features Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick sharing their thoughts as Bowman prepares to climb behind the wheel of the No. 88 Nationwide Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
“I like Alex as a person, as an individual, but you can see the raw talent he has,” Hendrick said.
Earnhardt reflected on Bowman’s stints driving for JR Motorsports and looked back on his own final season in the No. 88 Chevy.
He said he particularly appreciates that Bowman’s big break will come in the car that Earnhardt just vacated.
“I feel like that plugging Alex into that situation presents a great opportunity for success,” Earnhardt said. “It’s time to get started.”
