CONCORD, N.C. – Since 2001, Jimmie Johnson has piloted the No. 48 Lowe’s for Pros patriotic scheme for 600 miles at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
And this year, the No. 48 Lowe’s for Pros Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will showcase the red, white and blue colors once again for the annual Memorial Day weekend event. Frankie Phillips, a war veteran who died in battle in Afghanistan, will be honored on the windshield of Johnson’s car for the race.
The new patriotic scheme was unveiled Thursday morning and Phillip’s mother, Cherie, was there for the special event. Check out the unveiling and tweets below to see how it all came together.
