Gordon to Appear on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’

BURBANK, Calif. (Aug. 30, 2005) – On Monday, Sept. 5, Jeff Gordon will make an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” (syndicated, check local listings). The four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and driver of the No. 24 DuPont Chevrolets will be the first NASCAR driver to appear on the popular daytime talk show. “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” has won two consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Talk Show and this year won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host. The program has now earned nine Daytime Emmy Awards in its first two seasons. “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” premiered Sept. 8, 2003. Originating from NBC Studios in Los Angeles, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” is produced by A Very Good Production and WAD Productions Inc. in association with Telepictures.
