CONCORD, N.C. -- After last week when Chase Elliott and Jimmie Johnson made laps at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL, on Tuesday, it was William Byron and Alex Bowman's turn to test on NASCAR's newest track.
It was the teammates' first chance to hit the 2.28-mile, 17-turn road-course oval in advance of the Sept. 30 Bank of America ROVAL 400 race weekend.
Take a look at what the action looked like through social media below.
In the afternoon portion of the test, the No. 24 Chevrolet made contact with a tire barrier after experiencing a brake line failure due to impact with a curb, ending the day early for Byron and the No. 24 team.
