Wednesday at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, William Byron’s throwback paint scheme for the NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Darlington was unveiled, honoring Hendrick Motorsports owner Rick Hendrick’s late son Ricky. The No. 9 Liberty University Chevrolet is inspired by Ricky Hendrick’s 2001 paint scheme, which he drove to a Kansas victory in the NASCAR Truck Series. Liberty University also presented a generous contribution to the Ricky Hendrick Scholarship Fund. Take a look at some photos from the special unveil.
