WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Byron's introduction to NASCAR began with iRacing. The 22-year-old driver of the No. 24 Axalta Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE previously said it was instrumental in preparing him for live racing.
"It’s really more of a tool, like a flight simulator," Byron said. "It’s something you use to hone your skills at a higher level instead of just going on there and picking up a controller."
The real-world NASCAR Cup Series currently is scheduled to return May 9 at Martinsville Speedway.
