INDIANAPOLIS-- On Sunday, Indianapolis Motor Speedway presented Jeff Gordon, driver of the No. 24 Chevrolet SS, with his 2014 Brickyard 400 winner's ring.

Gordon was awarded with his fifth ring on the Team Chevy stage prior to this afternoon's qualifying session. The defending winner thanked the speedway, his teammates and also fans for the memories he has built throughout his racing career at Indianapolis.

He even took a moment to reflect on last year's victory, as he wore his newest winner's ring on his finger.

“It’s still to this day one of the highlights to me because not only was it number five here at Indianapolis, but my wife and kids were here to kiss the bricks-- which they’d never had a chance to do," Gordon said.

Just before he received his 2014 winner's ring, Gordon was presented with another gift.

The five-time Brickyard 400 winner also received a replica Chevy Camaro hood by Team Chevy. The replica hood was complete with over 440 fan messages gathered from various social media platforms.

Overwhelmed, Gordon looked to Team Chevy and his fans with a grateful thank you.

"This is amazing. Thank you," he said. " I can't wait to hang this in my office."
