CONCORD, N.C. -- Last week, William Byron joked that it felt like the “first day of school” at Hendrick Motorsports as his preparation for his NASCAR Cup Series debut kicks into high gear.
This week, he got a taste of what it will feel like behind the wheel of the iconic No. 24 Chevrolet.
Byron visited the race shop and climbed into the Camaro ZL1 to check on the fit of his new seat.
Byron shared that it “felt good” to sit in the No. 24 Chevy, just as teammate Alex Bowman did in the No. 88 Chevrolet earlier this month.
And seeing the new teammates in their new rides makes the season feel that much closer.
