DAYTONA, Fla. – Due to lightning in the area, qualifying at Daytona International Speedway has been canceled.
The starting grid for Saturday night’s race will be set based on the point standings.
That means Chase Elliott will lead his Hendrick Motorsports teammates to the green flag in seventh, with Alex Bowman right behind him in ninth.
William Byron would line up 12th, but after moving to a backup car due to an incident in practice, he will start at the rear of the field.
Jimmie Johnson will roll off the grid 14th.
Saturday’s race is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC, and Joey Logano will be on the pole.
